Rally Statement Over 2 million children in the United States live in Fatherless homes. As a result, child/teen statistics related to violence, failure in academics, broken relationships and more, have grown to an alarming rate. Active involvement of both parents has proven to be direct link to child success in personal life decisions, academics, and beyond. (Click here to read documented statistics on growing Father absence in the US)Hear what leading Fatherhood experts in America are saying about the need for Father presence in American homes, by clicking on the links below:
Dr. Jeffery M. Johnson, President & CEO, National Partnership for Community Leadership Mr. Carey Casey, President & CEO, National Center for FatheringFatherhood Rally Facts SheetIs there a need for Fathers to come together this June? YES The Truth... In a number of cases, Fathers truly desire to be there for their children. Hindrances including: a challenging relationship with the mother of the child, lack of funds to contribute to child-support, imprisonment, etc., make for shallow and broken relationships between father and child. Though the role of Fatherhood can be a challenging task, stability is the most important element of any child's life. Father's and Mother's love differently, yet both types of love are necessary for healthy child development. No matter what the hindrance, we encourage fathers everywhere to fight on behalf of their children, for involvement and consistency for the lives of their children. Informational resources for Fathers will be available at the Rally including: -Legal advice regarding child support issues -Information about what parenting programs are going on in America that will provide assistance in rebuilding relationships with children/mother of the child
